WordPress Tutorials for Beginners

Everything here is written for people who own a WordPress site rather than build them for a living. Each guide sticks to one task, shows the screens you’ll actually see, and tells you what to click — no jargon, no assumption that you already know what a hook or a shortcode is. We’ve been teaching WordPress to individuals and small businesses since 2013, and these guides come straight out of questions real students asked in real sessions.

If WordPress is new to you, ignore the full list for now and work through the seven start-here tutorials below in order. They take you from “what is this thing” to publishing a page you’re happy with, and everything else on the site assumes that groundwork. If you already run a site and came looking for one specific answer, use the category buttons above: the block editor for writing and layout, themes for how your site looks, plugins for adding features, SEO for being found, and maintenance for backups, updates and security.

The guides are free and there’s no sign-up. Work at your own pace, come back when something breaks, and if you’d rather have the whole thing in one place you can download the WordPress Manual as a PDF and read it offline.
