This is a living post that will include where you find certain settings and options in a wordpress install.  This is mainly for newbies who need just a quick reference on how to find something that might be buried in a menu.

Where do I...

Add a New Category

Go to Posts > Categories> Type in new category

Backup Posts and Pages from your Wordpress Install

Go to Tools > Export > Choose What to export (posts, pages, all content, etc..)

Change Default Image sizes

Go to Settings > Media > Image Sizes

Change My ,(or another user's) password

Go to Users > All Users > Choose username > type in new password

 Upload a Picture, ( this is only one way to do it)

Go to Media > Add New > Choose picture to upload
