Event Ticket Sales can be a Headache - Here's how to solve it.

It's been a little while since we've done a WordPress for business post so we're going to pick up where we left off with events ticket sales. WordPress is a great platform for users to be able to purchase tickets for your event either for live performances or virtually as in a webinar session. There are multiple plug-ins that are available for WordPress that can help you sell your tickets. Woocommerce is one of the Event Ticket Sales using WordPress and Woocommercedefault plugins used in order to allow purchasing of products on WordPress site. However, out of the box it is not necessarily a good choice for an event ticketing system. The WooCommerce tickets extension will allow you to sell tickets on your site very easily and with a familiar interface for most people that most WordPress users are familiar with. WP Event Ticket Sales using Events MagagerAnother plug-in that is excellent for Ticket purchases is the events manager plugin.  The events manager plugin was specifically designed to work with WordPress and allow people to purchase tickets from your site. The Events manager plugin can be found at http://wp-events-plugin.com. This plugin allows you to deal with events management, bookings, event locations, venues, and also display calendars on your site so that people can sign up for different projects. This plug-in is been around since 2008 and is very well-documented - you cannot go wrong with using this plug-in in order to allow users to register for events book events or purchase tickets.  The cool thing about events manager is that there is a free level that allows you to check out the interface. The Benefits of moving ticket sales online are many.  Here's just a few:

  1. Give your business or cause a credibility boost - With relatively little investment, you can make you event look "big time"
  2.  Give people another way to purchase and register for your event which increases sales/attendance
  3. You have the ability to easily change ticket pricing and  availability.  This saves a huge amount of time.
