Most WordPress Themes allow you to set a Featured image for pages and posts.  Sometimes they'll be called a Post/Page Thumbnail, and essentially it is a image that explains or adds information for a post or page. Step 1 - Go to Post or Page Editor Step 2- Click the Set Featured Image Button Setting a Featured Image Step 3 - Use the upload files link or drag and drop an image to the media box. Based on what your theme has coded, your featured image will show up in your post, page or archive pages.
